The Paul Hamlyn Library (PHL) on the St Mary’s Road campus in Ealing is open 24/7. It’s named after publisher and philanthropist Paul Hamlyn, who became UWL’s first chancellor in 1993. PHL and the Reading campus library are staffed by a team of 38, including nine UWL students.

The UWL Library Service is accredited with Customer Service Excellence; national recognition of the quality of their services to students, staff, and researchers.

UWL has partnered with Perlego to provide students and staff with access to their online library of 1 million+ eBooks from leading higher education publishers. You can download up to 30 books to read offline on the mobile app and enjoy study features like note-taking, highlights, and bookmarks to help you engage more deeply with material.
