Pedagogic Research and Scholarship Community’s Journal Club

This is taking place on the 15 June at 12:00 on the 2nd floor of Paragon

We will be reviewing papers on the topic of ‘learning analytics and the impact on students’ learning’. Please come to the meeting with a journal paper on the topic which you have had a chance to read beforehand and critique

The club is aimed at the whole community, regardless of subject discipline or level of experience. The group will help you develop your teaching through reading scholarly literature, as well as aid your research.

Stay Cool in the Hot Weather

If you are working in the Paul Hamlyn Library over the summer, you may find the following advice helpful.

  • Take regular breaks and drink plenty of fluids.  Water fountains are available in the Heart Space adjacent to the library entrance and in the vestibule areas of the 1st and 3rd floor toilets.  Bottled Water is available from the vending machines in the Heart Space and on the 1st floor of the Library.
  • Work on the Park side of the Library which is generally cooler.  

Heathrow Archive at University of West LondonHeathrow - The Journey Exhibition

Get up close to historic Heathrow artefacts and discover how this iconic airport became the UK’s hub for aviation.

‘Heathrow: The Journey’, which opened on 18 April 2018, is a permanent exhibition at the University of West London’s Ealing site on St Mary’s Road.

Admission is free. The exhibition is open daily to students, staff and the public from 10am to 5pm*, including weekends and holiday periods.
