Abigail is an NMC registered adult nurse with extensive experience in the NHS. She has worked in both the community and secondary care sectors with experience in Theatre and Recovery nursing, Acute Stroke and Stroke Rehabilitation, Discharge Planning and Rapid Response, Prevention of Admission, Research and Community Rehabilitation.

non-medicalShe is an accredited Advanced Level Nurse Practitioner and non medical prescriber with a special interest in rapid response, advanced physical assessment and patient education.

She joined UWL from clinical practice in 2021 and is currently undertaking a Professional Doctorate in Nursing.

Abigail has also recently completed the Academic Professional Apprenticeship incorporating the PgCert Professional Academic Practice and has achieved Fellowship of the Advance HE.

Teaching

Abigail teaches pre-registration students enrolled in the B Nursing, FdSc Nursing Associate courses, and CPD Independent Prescribing modules. Abigail is also a Module leader, ASLT (Academic Support Link Tutor), AA (Academic Assessor) and PT (Personal Tutor).
