Charlie Maguire is a professional drummer based in London. Originally from Yorkshire, Charlie relocated to pursue a career in music. In 2012 he graduated with a first class degree in music performance and subsequently found work on cruise ships. After completing his first contract, Charlie went on to work for various luxury cruise liners including Princess and P&O in their respective show bands, visiting over 50 countries. Upon returning to London, Charlie was awarded scholarships from Trinity Laban conservatoire and the Countess of Munster musical trust to study for a master’s degree in Jazz.

Since then, Charlie has established himself as a committed educator, having taught at London College of Music, Trinity Laban and from his studio in North London. Nevertheless, Charlie has always remained a student having spent time studying extensively with Dave Hassell, Andy Leask, Dave Wickins, Neal Wilkinson, and Barak Schmool. Charlie has performed in just about every musical situation available. This includes a UK and International tour of ‘Green Day’s American Idiot’, a UK and International tour of ‘Thoroughly Modern Millie’, a UK Tour of ‘Summer of Love’, a London residency with Jocelyn Brown (Somebody Else’s Guy), Regent’s Park open air theatre, James Bourne (Busted) and plenty of corporate, deps, jazz gigs, residency gigs and pantomimes.
