Eduards Grieznis is an internationally acclaimed pianist, composer, and lecturer. He gained his Masters degree at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama (London) and has taken part in masterclasses with Matti Raekallio, Oleg Stepanov, Oleg Mantur, and James Kirby.
 
As a prize winner, Eduards has been broadcast and interviewed on Latvia’s national classical music radio station and on national television. He released an album of solo piano pieces in 2017 which was chosen to feature on a Latvian documentary film “Spertāla kapričo”.
 
Eduards is a PhD student at the London College of Music, University of West London, supported by the university’s Vice Chancellor’s PhD scholarship. Eduards’ research interests include folk music, autoethnography and artistic research.
 
He is presently teaching LCM's Piano Toolkit, which aims to develop undergraduate and postgraduate students’ piano skills, whose principal study field isn’t first study piano performance. In his free time, Eduards organises charity events. He is a founder of the C.O.D.E. project (‘Come over, Donate and Enjoy’) that has been raising funds with a range of events at venues that include the 1901 Arts Club and the Latvian Embassy in London. The 14th C.O.D.E. project in November 2021 raised over 2.700 euros for the needs of children with brain cancer at the Oncology unit in Latvia.
