Prior to becoming a university lecturer in 2010, George worked for 13 years in the aviation industry – 12 at managerial level. He has a wealth of experience in a range of operational and commercial roles, starting off working on check-in and as a flight dispatcher at London Luton Airport before rising to become Airport Duty Manager for EasyJet, Account manager for Monarch Airlines and subsequently Airport Services Overseas Manager and Inflight Product Manager for Monarch - the latter of which included budgetary responsibility in excess of £30 million. He is interested in and has teaching experience in most commercial and operational aspects within the aviation industry.

Teaching

Having started out on the check-in desk and as a flight dispatcher at London Luton Airport, I rose to the rank of in-flight product manager for Monarch, with budgetary responsibility of £30 million. After 13 years in the aviation industry, I became a university lecturer in 2010, and have interests and teaching experience in most commercial and operational aspects of the aviation industry.
