Lecturer - Perioperative Practice
College of Nursing, Midwifery and Healthcare

Michelle recently took up the role of Course Leader for the BSc (Hons) Operating Department Practice Course, after having spent the past four years, as a Lecturer, in perioperative practice.

She has over three decades’ experience of working within the perioperative environment, twelve of which were previously spent, working within a clinical education team,  as a Clinical Practice Educator, a role encompassing anaesthetics, surgery and post anaesthetic care.

Working within the College of Nursing, Midwifery and Healthcare, she presently teaches pre and post registration students, enabling them to provide a high standard of evidence based care in the three areas of perioperative practice. Michelle continues to maintain her contacts within the NHS,  in her role as Link Lecturer,  with the college’s clinical practice partners.
