Dr Simon Fox recently joined the University of West London as Deputy Head of the School of Human and Social Sciences and Head of Criminology and Forensic Science. With over two decades of experience in academia, including extensive time in senior leadership roles, Simon has consistently emphasised the importance of staff development and inclusive, employment-focused curriculum design.

Committed to social justice, Simon recently authored the British Standard (BSI PAS5222:2024) for Safeguarding Children in Out-of-School Settings, demonstrating his dedication to protecting vulnerable populations. Simon is an Associate Professor of Criminal Justice and Legal Education and he serves as Chair of the Hampshire and the Isle of Wight Constabulary Ethics Committee, promoting ethical policing behaviour.
