Prentice took to the skies as a graduate pilot
Introduction
A University of West London graduate has taken to the skies as a Ryanair pilot, flying throughout Europe.
By combining a UWL degree with a commercial pilot’s license, Prentice has developed a wider perspective of airport operations that he believes will help him “stand out from the competition as he progresses in career.”
Our aviation graduates go on to have successful careers in all aspects of aviation, but with a growing number of our students choosing to combine their degree with a commercial pilot’s license, many more UWL graduates will be taking to the skies soon.
UWL offers a BSc (Hons) Aviation Management with Commercial Pilot Training, BSc (Hons) Air Transport Management (Airline and Airport Specialist) and MA International Tourism and Aviation Management.
Introduction
Speaking after his first two weeks in the role, Prentice Garces, who studied Airline and Airport Management, said:
As long as I can remember I’ve wanted to be a pilot. Flying is a liberating experience. Every day I now get to fly to challenging destinations and experience different aspects of flying.”
James Edmunds, Dean of the London Geller College for Hospitality and Tourism at UWL, said:
