Terms and conditions for Brentford x Ashmount Leigh match ticket competition

To understand our responsibilities to You (the Entrant), and Your responsibilities to Us, please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. “Terms and Conditions” means the terms and conditions (clauses 1 to 30) set out below.

1. By entering the Competition, You are agreeing to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please retain a copy for your information.  

2. The University of West London Higher Education Corporation whose main administrative offices are at St. Mary's Road, Ealing, London W5 5RF (“UWL” or “Our” or “Us” or “We”) is the promoter of the Competition.  

3. To enter the Competition, You must:  

(a) Like our competition Instagram post  

(b) Comment the name of a woman that inspires you on the post 

(c) Follow us and UWLSU on our Instagram accounts (@uniwestlondon and @uwl_su) 

4. There is no entry fee and no purchase is necessary to enter the Competition.  

5. The Competition will run from 8th March 2024, 11:00am (UK time) until 15^th March 2024, 12:00pm (UK time) inclusive (“Competition Period”). All Competition entries received after the Competition Period will not be accepted. UWL reserves the right to shorten or extend the Competition Period at its sole discretion.  

6. By submitting an Entry, You confirm that:  

(a) The Entry to the Competition is your own, and a third party has not submitted the Entry on your behalf; and  

(b) The Entry does not infringe any third party’s proprietary rights, intellectual property rights, personal or moral rights or any other rights.  

7. UWL and UWLSU will not accept responsibility for Competition entries that are not received, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, application, computer or mobile phone hardware or software failure of any kind, or not received for whatever reason; or  

8. UWL and UWLSU will not accept Competition entries that are:  

(a) in breach of UWL’s policies and regulations which can be found here: https://www.uwl.ac.uk/about-us/policies-and-regulations); or  

(b) in breach of these Terms and Conditions;  

9. There will in total be one (1) prize available to be won by one (1) winner.  

10. One (1) winner will be selected by a random computer selection process from all valid entries received during the Competition Period, and one (1) winner will receive one (1) prize.  

11. Unless otherwise required by UWL and UWLSU, the winner will be contacted by Instagram by 15 March 2024.  

12. In order to claim their Prize, the winners must confirm acceptance of their Prize to UWLSU by messaging @uwl_su on Instagram no later than 18 March 2024, 23:59pm (UK Time) (“Deadline”). If the winner does not claim their prize by the Deadline, UWLSU and UWL reserve the right to withdraw the prize entitlement and select another winner.  

13. The Prize: (a) may not be claimed by a third party on behalf of the winner; and (b) is non-transferable.  

14. UWLSU will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected / is delivered. It is Your responsibility to provide correct, up-to-date details on acceptance of the Prize. UWLSU and UWL cannot be held responsible for the winner’s failure to supply accurate information which affects Prize acceptance or delivery.  

15. UWL and UWLSU reserve the right to verify the winner and ask for proof of identity.  

16. UWL and UWLSU reserve the right to substitute the prize with a cash alternative to the equal value of the Prize.  

17. UWL and UWLSU’s decision is final and binding in all matters relating to the Competition and the prizes and no correspondence will be entered into.  

18. Where the prizes are provided by a third-party supplier (“Supplier”):  

(a) UWL and UWLSU accept no responsibility for inaccuracy of any prize description. The Supplier is responsible for prize fulfilment. 22. At any time UWL and UWLSU reserve the sole right to make any changes (including but not limited to the right to cancel, suspend, postpone or amend all or any part of the Competition) to the Competition in any manner and/or these Terms and Conditions without notice or liability to You.  

19. By entering the Competition, You agree that UWL shall be entitled to use and process your personal data for the purposes of administering the Competition and in accordance with UWL’s student privacy notice and data protection policies which can be found here: https://www.uwl.ac.uk/about-us/policies-and-regulations and UK data protection laws; and  

20. Entry to the Competition is at the Entrant’s sole risk. UWL and UWLSU shall not be liable under or in connection with these Terms and Conditions, the Competition or any Prize for any direct, indirect, special or consequential loss, liability, damage, disappointment, costs, expenses, claims, personal injury or death (whether in contract, tort, breach of statutory duty or otherwise) (“Losses”) incurred or suffered by an Entrant even if such Losses was reasonably foreseeable or might reasonably have been contemplated by the Entrant and UWL and UWLSU, and in the case of personal injury or death except where it is caused by the negligence of UWL. Your statutory rights are not affected.  

21. To the extent permitted by applicable law, UWL and UWLSU’s total liability under or in connection with the Competition, Prize and these Terms and Conditions shall be limited to the value of the Prize.  

22. The Competition is not to be construed in any manner to be sponsored or endorsed by Twitter, TikTok, Instagram or any other social network. You are providing Your information to UWL (who reserve the right to use the information provided in accordance with these Terms and Conditions) and not to any other party.  

23. If any act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which are beyond the reasonable control of UWL and UWLSU and which prevents or delays UWL and UWLSU from complying with these Terms and Conditions UWL and UWLSU will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligations.  

24. These Terms and Conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communication, including advertising or promotional materials.  

25. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed exclusively by English law, and You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
