The UWL Library app

Following feedback from our recent library survey we have created a UWL Library app that is available for both IOS and Android devices.

  • Search our catalogue
  • Scan barcode search
  • Make reservations
  • View your Library account
  • Renew items on loan
  • View floorplans, opening hours and news
  • Search Library e-resources via Summon
  • View frequently asked questions for help.

Shortly, you will also be able to issue your books directly to yourself using your phone or tablet, the app and a special Bluetooth device.

To get the best use from the app, we recommend that you log in to it using your UWL student number which can be found on your Photo ID card and your PIN.  If you don't know your PIN you can easily reset it.

The app can be found in the App Store and Google play and is free to download and use.

Kortext app

As part of its new pilot e-textbook programme, Library Services is funding free access to the Study Skills Handbook by Stella Cottrell to every 1st year student at UWL. Please look out for an e-mail with your unique Kortext URL to collect and download your personal copy which you can then keep forever. There is also a Kortext app available for those who wish to use a mobile device to read this book, and many others.

The app is available from the App Store and Google Play.
