Introduction

Welcome to the Early Career Researcher (ECR) Group at the School of Human and Social Sciences. 

Our community supports emerging scholars across diverse fields including psychology, criminology, sociology, forensic science, politics and international relations, education and nutritional therapy.

Our mission is to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and promote the exchange of ideas to deliver innovative, transformative research. We are committed to promoting equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) and sustainable research practices.

    Dr Viktoria Magne

    Associate Professor in Education Studies and Early Childhood
    School of Human and Social Sciences

    Viktoria Magne is an Associate Professor in Education Studies and Early Childhood at the University of West London. She began her teaching career as an ESOL teacher, primarily working in higher education. Viktoria holds a PhD in Education from the Université de Sherbrooke. Her work focuses on the intersection of linguistics and social issues, particularly how sociolinguistic factors such as accent, race and language ideologies impact language attitudes and perceptions.
