School of Computing and Engineering lecturer receives prestigious scientific award

Dr Livia Lantini, Lecturer in Civil Engineering at the University of West London (UWL), has won the 2024 Outstanding Early Career Scientist Award for the Geosciences Instrumentation and Data Systems (GI) Division from the European Geosciences Union (EGU).

UWL’s West London Venues sees the University’s campus sites hired out to be used for everything from documentaries and films to advertising shoots. In recent months, UWL has played host to Ant and Dec filming for Santander, singer Olly Murs for a Royal Match advert and comedian John Richardson for his show ‘Meet the Richardsons’.

UWL wins funding from the Office for Students to increase opportunities in degree apprenticeships

UWL will allocate the funding to support two critical sectors: logistics and the built environment. In addition, the funding will be used to develop and enhance outreach activity for prospective candidates.
